The city of Gravatá, located in the Agreste region of Pernambuco, Brazil, has unveiled the schedule for its Carnival 2026 celebrations, which will commence on Wednesday, February 11, and run until early March. Major highlights of the event include the iconic Bloco do Zé Pereira and the 10th Meeting of Frevo Orchestras, which will be led by Maestro Spok. The festivities promise to bring together both tradition and cultural enrichment in this vibrant celebration.

In addition to the orquestras and blocos, the Carnival will feature official hubs such as the Mercado Cultural, Rua do Norte em Folia, and Bairro Novo em Folia, which will host free shows and cultural performances. This year, the program will also introduce the Circuito Comida de Boteco, showcasing local culinary delights, and the Tardes no Polo project, which aims to extend the festivities beyond the official Carnival days.

On February 12, the famous Bloco das Trichas will parade on Avenida Agamenon Magalhães, maintaining the tradition of irreverent revelers in costumes.
