Twenty-three military officials facing severe disciplinary measures have filed appeals against their sanctions related to their involvement in a rebellion.
In a significant development regarding the handling of military personnel involved in the December 3rd rebellion incident, twenty-three generals and colonels have formally appealed their dismissals, demotions, and suspensions imposed by the Ministry of National Defense. According to the Ministry and reports from the office of lawmaker Choo Mi-ae, these military officials were part of a broader group of thirty-one individuals sanctioned for their roles in actions associated with illegal martial law, with twenty-three opting to challenge the disciplinary decisions made against them. Notably, key figures such as former director of the National Defense Security Command, Yeon-Hyung Yeo, and others involved in the controversial 'martial law bus' incident have also filed appeals against their dismissals.
