New cars will be registered with the TelePASE system included

The Association of Automobile Dealers in Argentina will provide the TelePASE system for new cars to streamline toll payments.

In Argentina, the method of paying tolls is undergoing a significant transformation, with the City of Buenos Aires leading the way by introducing a 'Free Flow' payment system that eliminates traditional booths and barriers. This year, cash payments will no longer be accepted at the few points that still allow them, pushing for a more seamless payment experience for drivers. The initiative aims to enhance the efficiency of toll collection and reduce congestion at toll booths.

In this context, the Association of Automobile Dealers of the Republic of Argentina (Acara) has launched the campaign 'Tu 0km sin barreras', which offers the TelePASE device to all car dealers across the country at no cost, as long as the final customer accepts it. This device will be integrated into new cars from the moment they are registered, promoting the adoption of this innovative payment method.

The inclusion of TelePASE systems in new vehicles is expected to encourage drivers to embrace this cashless system, improving the overall tolling experience while also facilitating the transition to more advanced payment technologies. This move is indicative of a larger trend in Argentina towards modernization of transportation infrastructure, making it easier for citizens to navigate tolls and potentially leading to broader adoption of similar technologies in the future.
