A tragic incident occurred on the evening of Friday, October 6, when a pedestrian was struck and killed by a car while walking on Rodovia dos Bandeirantes (SP-348) in Jundiaí, São Paulo. According to the São Paulo State Transportation Agency (Artesp), the collision took place at kilometer 57 of the highway. The impact of the collision was severe enough to shatter the passenger side windshield of the vehicle involved.

Rescue teams were quickly summoned to the scene; however, the pedestrian succumbed to their injuries and was pronounced dead at the location of the incident.
