The Kwara State government is taking a strong stance against data falsification among healthcare workers involved in an imminent immunisation exercise. At the launch of a five-day training program in Omu-Aran, Prof. Nusirat Elelu, the Executive Secretary of the Kwara State Primary Healthcare Development Agency, emphasized the critical responsibility of healthcare workers to ensure accuracy in data reporting. Falsification not only hinders the efficacy of immunisation programs but also poses risks to public health outcomes.

During the training, aimed at Routine Immunisation Officers, Local Immunisation Officers, and Monitoring and Evaluation Officers from all 16 Local Government Areas of Kwara, Elelu reinforced the necessity for ongoing education and skill enhancement for these workers. Maintaining reliable data is pivotal for the success of public health initiatives, particularly in immunisation efforts, as it directly affects the ability to measure and respond to health needs within communities.
