Pilots from the Croatian Air Force transported a patient urgently from Dubrovnik to Zagreb using two helicopters.

On Saturday, the Croatian Ministry of Defense reported that pilots from the Croatian Air Force (HRZ) participated in an emergency medical air transport operation for a patient traveling from Dubrovnik to Zagreb via Divulje. Two helicopter crews were involved in this operation, one using the Mi-171Sh transport helicopter and the other utilizing the Black Hawk UH-60M. This coordinated action highlights the rapid response capabilities of the military's aviation units in providing critical medical assistance across regions.

The Mi-171Sh helicopter took off shortly after 8:30 AM from the "Knez Trpimir" barracks in Divulje, heading towards the Dubrovnik General Hospital helipad. In just under an hour, the helicopter arrived, picked up the patient along with the medical team, and then flew back to Divulje, landing at 10:48 AM. The swift transfer demonstrates the efficiency of the airlift process, crucial for the healthcare response in urgent medical situations.

Following the landing in Divulje, another flight crew took over, flying the patient and the medical team in the Black Hawk UH-60M toward Zagreb shortly before 11:20 AM. This timely intervention exemplifies the seamless collaboration between different squadrons of the HRZ and highlights the importance of military resources in supporting civilian medical emergencies, as well as showing the dedication of the Croatian armed forces to public health initiatives.
