Sweden: Flight had to turn back due to a mouse

A SAS flight from Stockholm to Malaga was forced to turn back after a passenger spotted a mouse on board, leading to the transfer of passengers to another aircraft.

A SAS flight traveling from Stockholm to Malaga made an unexpected turnaround after a passenger reported seeing a mouse on the plane. Although the crew was unable to confirm the presence of the mouse, safety protocols mandated that the flight head back to its departure point. Consequently, the passengers and their luggage were transferred to another flight which departed smoothly around 11 AM on Saturday morning.

Interestingly, many of the passengers on the flight were supporters of the Swedish football team AIK, traveling to watch their teamโ€™s match in Marbella, near Malaga. The situation was humorously noted, as AIK fans are colloquially known as "Gnagare," which translates to "Gnawers" in English, a fitting nickname considering the context of the incident. This led to some banter among the fans regarding the unfortunate rodent incident.

Despite the disruption caused by the mouse sighting, the passengers seemed to take the event in stride, turning what could have been a frustrating situation into a light-hearted experience. The affair drew attention both for its oddity and for the irony of the circumstances, reinforcing the camaraderie among the AIK fans as they continued their journey to support their team.
