SAS flight had to turn around after suspicion of a mouse

A SAS flight returning from Stockholm to Málaga turned back when a passenger reported seeing a mouse on board, prompting a safety inspection.

On a Saturday morning, a SAS flight departing from Stockholm's Arlanda Airport bound for Málaga had to turn back mid-flight after a passenger reported seeing a mouse inside the aircraft. This unexpected incident led to a return to Stockholm where the airline could conduct safety protocols and assess the situation, according to spokesperson Alexandra Lindgren Kaoukji.

Passengers on board, including Christopher Magnani, were informed of the situation by the pilot, who explained that the flight had to be aborted due to the reported sighting of the rodent. The cabin crew conducted briefings to keep passengers informed of the developments and the need for the flight to divert back to its departure point.

The incident raised questions about safety measures in aviation, specifically regarding pests on board. As all relevant inspections were to take place upon returning to Stockholm, it is still uncertain if the reported mouse was found, adding an element of mystery to the incident. Meanwhile, the other passengers were rescheduled to continue their journey to Málaga later that day.
