Antonio Pedro da Silva, a 14-year-old boy who had been missing since January 26, was found dead on February 6, buried in a shallow grave in the rural area of Barra de Guabiraba. The discovery was made by his family on a rural property in the locality known as Matinha, where they alerted the police after locating the boy's body, which was in an advanced state of decomposition.

The Civil Police of Pernambuco have classified the case as a completed homicide and have opened an investigation through the 102nd Police Station in Barra de Guabiraba to understand the circumstances surrounding the crime and to identify those responsible.
