Education and Science Minister Kristina Kallas has confirmed the merger of four schools in Tallinn: Lasnamäe Mechanic School, Tallinn Polytechnic, Tallinn Industrial Education Center, and Tallinn Construction School. This consolidation aims to create a new applied technology college known as Tallinna Tehnoloogiakolledž or Techno TLN. The new institution is set to enhance educational offerings and streamline technical training in the region.

Starting this fall, Techno TLN will welcome approximately 6,000 students, offering them a range of programs that focus on practical skills and technological education. This initiative aligns with Estonia's broader strategy to improve vocational education and adapt to the demands of a rapidly evolving job market. By creating a larger, resource-rich institution, the hope is to better prepare students for the workforce.
