Police provided more details about the tragic car collision in the Mažeikiai district

A tragic car accident in the Mažeikiai district resulted in the death of a passenger and injuries to several others, including a student driver.

On February 6, a serious car collision occurred on the road between Kuršėnai and Mažeikiai in Lithuania, where a 25-year-old man driving a BMW 550i lost control of his vehicle. The BMW veered into oncoming traffic and collided with a Škoda Scala, which was marked as a training vehicle and driven by a 16-year-old student driver. Unfortunately, the impact caused the BMW to leave the road and roll over.

The crash had dire consequences, as a passenger in the BMW, a 26-year-old man, was killed on the scene, highlighting the tragic outcomes of reckless driving. Additionally, the student driver of the Škoda Scala, along with two male passengers aged 55 and 39, were taken to the hospital with injuries, raising concerns about road safety and the risks faced by new drivers.

This incident not only brings attention to traffic safety issues in Lithuania, especially concerning inexperienced drivers but also underscores the need for stricter enforcement of road safety regulations to prevent similar tragedies in the future.
