Another choir has exited the competition in the latest episode of 'Choir Battles', with various performances evaluated by a judging panel.
The latest episode of the show 'Choir Battles' aired on March 22, featuring nine choirs that performed popular hits known to many. The audience saw the elimination of one choir as well as the awarding of the viewer's choice award, which was claimed for the second consecutive week by the Preiļu purpura choir led by Dainis Skutelis. The show is judged by experts Edgars Vītols and Jānis Ozols, alongside TV personality Kristīne Garklāva.
The episode opened with a lively performance from the Fiņķa Madonas green choir, who delivered Shakira's vibrant 'Waka Waka (This Time for Africa)', a performance praised by judge Jānis Ozols as "fantastic" and reminiscent of an animated film. In addition, the Rīgas debeszilais choir presented the ethereal composition 'Dūdieviņš' by Imants Kalniņš, showcasing not only their vocal talent but also their commitment to celebrating Latvian musical heritage.
As 'Choir Battles' continues to captivate audiences, the competition becomes fiercer. With each passing episode, choirs are not only showcasing their skills but also engaging with fans and viewers in a deeper way, as evidenced by the viewer participation element that has apparently become a significant aspect of the show's appeal.
