On Monday, an Air Canada CRJ-900 aircraft, arriving from Montreal, struck a vehicle belonging to the Port Authority while landing at LaGuardia Airport, causing significant disruption. The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) announced the closure of the airport, advising that all flights destined for LaGuardia were suspended due to the emergency situation involving the aircraft. According to flight tracking site Flightradar24, the collision occurred while the plane was landing at a speed of approximately 39 km/h (24 mph).
