Lombardy has celebrated a successful athletics season at the Athletics Festival, highlighting the achievements of local athletes. The event was organized by the Regional Fidal Committee at the Auditorium "Don Enrico De Gasperi" in Carugate, recognizing the winners of the "Athlete of the Year" poll. Matteo Sioli, a high jumper, and Erika Saraceni, a triple jumper, were crowned as the king and queen of the season based on the public votes and a jury of regional Fidal councilors, coaches, and journalists.

Erika Saraceni had an outstanding year, winning the European gold and setting an Italian Under 20 record along with two Absolute Italian titles in 2025. Her performance outshone competition from other notable athletes, including sprinter Kelly Ann Doualla and junior mountain runner Martina Ghisalberti.
