Authorities have reported the discovery of a body in northern Tasmania, believed to belong to a 36-year-old man who went missing over the weekend following a boating accident. The man had set out from the Montagu boat ramp with three others for a fishing excursion when their boat capsized around 9 pm on Saturday, sending all passengers into the water. While the other three—a 33-year-old man, a 27-year-old woman, and a 6-year-old child—were rescued after floating ashore on Robbins Island and remained safe due to wearing life jackets, the missing man could not be found amid extensive search efforts.
