Clara Brugada inaugurates UTOPÍAS Mixiuhca, a new social transformation space in Iztacalco, aimed at providing free services to the residents of Mexico City.
Clara Brugada Molina, the Head of Government of Mexico City, led the inauguration of UTOPÍAS Mixiuhca, a new facility designed to enhance collective well-being and social transformation. Located near the Ciudad Deportiva in Iztacalco, this initiative is part of the city's efforts to provide accessible resources to its residents. The inaugural event took place on a Sunday afternoon, and Brugada personally inspected various modules that were set up to serve the community free of charge.
Among the featured services is the 'Agua Bienestar' module, which provides families with purified water through the refilling of jugs, ensuring that essential resources are available to the local population. Additionally, the Principal Auditorium is set to host various artistic and cultural events, thus enriching the community’s cultural landscape. A significant highlight of the visit was the Childcare and Development Center, which will operate extended hours to care for children, recognizing the importance of early childhood development in the community’s overall welfare.
Brugada emphasized that the UTOPÍAS Mixiuhca project exemplifies the right to collective well-being, reiterating the government's commitment to improving the quality of life for all citizens. The new services are expected to not only address immediate needs but also foster a sense of belonging and community engagement among residents, supporting social cohesion in Iztacalco and surrounding areas.
