Gabon initiated a repatriation effort for its citizens trapped in the Middle East as a result of the escalating conflict between Iran, Israel, and the United States. On March 22, a first wave of 36 Gabonese nationals arrived in Libreville aboard a commercial flight from Ethiopian Airlines. The arrival was met with relief and joy, marked by a welcome committee led by the country's Minister of Foreign Affairs at the airport.
