A tragic accident occurred on the Washington Luís highway (SP-310), near kilometer 162 in Santa Gertrudes, São Paulo, on the morning of Sunday, the 22nd. A pedestrian was hit by a small vehicle while walking along the road towards the south, likely either on the first lane or the central median. The victim has not yet been identified, and the driver did not stop to provide assistance.

At the scene, operational control information indicated that tire marks and fragments, such as a mirror, were found, suggesting the possible involvement of the small vehicle in the incident. After being struck, the pedestrian was thrown into the central median, where they were later discovered by highway maintenance crews. The body of the victim has been sent to the Medical Legal Institute (IML) for further examination.
