Susanne Hoyer has been elected as the new District Administrator of Freising, becoming the first woman to hold the position in the district's history, defeating incumbent Helmut Petz.
In a historic election, Susanne Hoyer of the Christian Social Union (CSU) has triumphed over incumbent Helmut Petz of the Free Voters in the runoff election for the position of District Administrator of Freising. Hoyer secured 54.4% of the votes compared to Petz's 45.6%, marking a decisive victory. The voter turnout was 46.9%, reflecting an engaged electorate in this important local election. Hoyer, previously the mayor of Langenbach and the district chairwoman of the Bavarian Association of Towns and Municipalities, expressed her joy and determination to win, stating that she had a clear objective throughout her campaign with no fallback plans in case of defeat.
