A motorcycle accident in Nossa Senhora do Socorro resulted in one fatality and one injury on Sunday.

In a tragic motorcycle accident in Nossa Senhora do Socorro, a man lost his life, and another sustained injuries on Sunday, October 22. The incident occurred at the intersection of Streets 7 and 8 in the Industrial District of Taiçoca, involving a motorcycle and a car that collided while traveling in different directions. Following the collision, emergency medical services from the Mobile Emergency Care Service (Samu) attended to the victims.

The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene, despite efforts to stabilize him by the emergency medical team. Meanwhile, the passenger on the motorcycle was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment. The Traffic Police Battalion (BPTRAN) conducted an investigation on site, ensuring all necessary procedures were followed, including assessments carried out by the Scientific Police.

Reports from BPTRAN indicated that the driver of the car was subjected to a breathalyzer test, returning a negative result for alcohol consumption. This incident marks the eleventh traffic fatality recorded by BPTRAN in the Greater Aracaju area in 2026, emphasizing ongoing concerns regarding road safety in the region and the impact of such accidents on the community.
