On Saturday, the 21st, bathers at Praia da Leste-Oeste in the Jacarecanga neighborhood of Fortaleza stumbled upon human body parts on the sand. The unsettling discovery included two legs, as captured in a video by witnesses. The Civil Police, along with the Military Police of Ceará and the State's Forensic Examination team, were promptly alerted and arrived at the scene to handle the situation. Despite the discovery, the victim has yet to be formally identified according to the Ceará Public Security and Social Defense Secretariat.

Only a few weeks prior, on March 7, a human arm was found on the Praia do Baixo Grande in Paracuru, indicating a possible pattern of violence or crime in the area.
