The United States is preparing to issue a 24-karat gold coin featuring the face of Donald Trump to mark the semi-quincentennial of its independence, set for July 4, 2026. The sketch for the coin, which has gained approval from the Commission of Fine Arts, depicts Trump with a stern expression, his fists clenched on a table or desk. Accompanying the image is the word “Liberty” along with the commemorative dates 1776-2026. On the reverse side of the coin, an eagle with outstretched wings is intended to be illustrated, and the phrase "E pluribus unum," meaning "out of many, one," will be inscribed on the lower left edge.
