On the 25th of March, the Municipality of Piraeus observed Greece's National Anniversary with a significant and symbolic gesture. Earlier than in previous years, the waters of Piraeus were adorned in blue and white as a large Greek flag was displayed to honor the heroic struggles of Greeks at sea. Members of the Association of Greek Frogmen participated by diving into the water at precisely noon to unfurl a giant flag measuring 15 by 12 meters, which covered an area of 180 square meters and was visible along the entire coastline of Piraeus.

The initiative, organized by the Municipality, attracted considerable attention and emotional responses from both locals and visitors.
