Italian player Jannik Sinner, seeded second and ranked second by the ATP, secured his spot in the third round by defeating Bosnia and Herzegovina's top player, Damir Dzumhur, in straight sets with a score of 6-3, 6-3. Sinner showcased his dominant performance by breaking Dzumhur's serve once in the first set and twice in the second, while Dzumhur failed to convert his only break point opportunity.
Similarly, German player Alexander Zverev, seeded third and ranked fourth in the ATP rankings, also advanced smoothly by overcoming American Martin Damm, who ranks 133rd.
