Exile group: – Over 3200 killed in the attacks on Iran
A human rights group reports that over 3200 individuals have been killed in recent U.S. and Israeli attacks in Iran, including many civilians and children.
A recent report from the Iranian human rights group HRAI claims that at least 3230 individuals have been killed in the ongoing U.S. and Israeli military attacks on Iran since late February. This aggressive campaign has reportedly resulted in the deaths of at least 1406 civilians, among them over 210 children, with the most notable incident linked to an attack on a girls' school in Minab. These figures have raised alarm, especially as the UN human rights chief described the attacks as ruthless.
The HRAI, which operates with the support of regime-critical Iranian expatriates, reports that 1167 military personnel have also been confirmed dead, while the status of an additional 657 victims remains unverified regarding whether they were civilians or military. The Iranian health ministry has corroborated claims that more than 1500 people have lost their lives in these strikes, reinforcing concerns about the humanitarian implications of the ongoing conflict.
The casualty figures, particularly among children, emphasize the dire human cost of the conflict and lead to increased scrutiny of U.S. and Israeli military strategies in the region. As the violence continues, international calls for accountability and a cessation of hostilities are expected to grow louder, drawing attention to the civilian impact of military interventions in Iran and the broader geopolitical implications for the Middle East.
