A devotee from Alwar, Nitesh, is making a remarkable pilgrimage of 160 kilometers lying on a platform of 1000 iron nails to seek blessings from Khatu Shyam.

Nitesh, a young devotee from Alwar in Rajasthan, has embarked on an incredible journey of 160 kilometers to seek blessings from Khatu Shyam. This unique pilgrimage, known as a 'Dandvat Yatra', involves him lying on a wooden plank made of 1000 sharp iron nails. Accompanied by around 15 family members and friends, Nitesh is expected to complete this arduous journey in approximately one and a half months.

This is not Nitesh's first attempt at such a challenging quest; he previously completed a similar pilgrimage last year, albeit with only 501 nails on his plank. His commitment and devotion are evident in the repetition of such a strenuous task, which signifies the profound connection he feels towards the deity. The journey began at the Khatu Shyam temple located in Shivaji Park, where he prayed for strength and guidance before setting off on this remarkable pilgrimage.

Nitesh's devotion is notable not only for its physical demand but also for a heartfelt reason: he reveals that he only came to know about Baba Shyam five years ago during a personal crisis. His journey now symbolizes not just faith but also the transformative power of devotion in overcoming life's challenges. It has captured public attention and sparked discussions about faith and dedication across the country, marking a significant local cultural event.
