During a naval exercise last year, a Ukrainian-led team successfully highlighted weaknesses in NATO's naval forces. According to the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung, the team won in all combat scenarios, including a simulated attack on a frigate that NATO forces failed to notice. This exercise, conducted as part of REPMUS/Dynamic Messenger 2025 off the coast of Portugal, involved two teams: the Red team (representing the enemy), led by Ukraine along with American, British, and Spanish units, and the Blue team, representing NATO.
