What you wouldn't want to meet on an intercity bus: a passenger with a knife under his arm and 'the voice of God' in his head
A man on an intercity bus in Latvia brutally murdered a fellow passenger, believing he was an alien, after claiming to have heard God's voice.
In a horrifying incident that took place in 2008 on an intercity bus in Latvia, a routine journey escalated into a scene reminiscent of hell when a man named Lī attacked another passenger, Maklīns, under the delusion that he was instructed by God to kill him for being an alien. Armed with a knife, Lī launched a vicious attack, stabbing Maklīns multiple times in the neck and chest. The bus driver, realizing the grave situation, stopped the bus and opened the doors to allow frightened passengers to escape. However, Lī's violent response prevented two men from attempting to restrain him, forcing them to flee the bus and lock its doors behind them.
