The first semifinals of the Estonian women's ice hockey championships saw victories for Tallinna Grizzlyz and Kohtla-Järve HC Everest.
The first semifinals of the Estonian women's ice hockey championships were held after a month-long break following the conclusion of the main tournament, during which the Estonian national team achieved success by winning the Division 3B group at the World Championship. The matches highlighted competitive performances as teams vied for a spot in the final, showcasing the skill and determination of the players involved.
In a key matchup in Tartu, Kohtla-Järve HC Everest, the defending champions, faced HK Säde, who finished second in the main tournament. The game concluded with a 4-2 victory for Everest. Anna Fedjajeva played a crucial role in the win, scoring three goals and providing one assist, while Anna Dubkova added another goal to secure the match. On the other hand, HK Säde managed to score twice, with both goals coming from Anna Mykkänen.
The extraordinary performance from both goalkeepers marked the game as well, with HK Säde's Triinu Tuvike-Heiskonen achieving a high save percentage by stopping 19 out of 23 shots. In contrast, Uljana Jeggi, the HC Everest goalie, faced a barrage of 50 shots, letting only two past her.
