The incident occurred on Saturday morning when the aircraft, during a training flight, failed to gain altitude and descended near the runway area. Tragically, the pilot, Fernando Lúcio Moreira dos Santos, who had recently become a father, died at the scene of the accident.

The second occupant of the aircraft, Ulisses de Oliveira, an entrepreneur completing his pilot training, survived the crash but suffered serious injuries, including cranial and thoracic trauma. He was promptly rescued and is currently in critical condition at the João Lúcio Hospital and Emergency Care Unit.
