Man serving time under open regime is arrested with pistol, revolver, ammunition, and drugs in Governador Valadares
A 30-year-old man on open regime parole was arrested in Governador Valadares after being found with multiple firearms and drugs.
A man, aged 30, who was serving time under an open regime, was arrested in the Santa Rita neighborhood of Governador Valadares on Friday. This arrest comes after he evaded police during a prior interaction, notably when he was spotted as a passenger on a motorcycle. The police acted on a tip-off regarding his activities, particularly concerning armament and drug possession, which led them to his home where the arrest took place.
Upon arrival, officers discovered the suspect seated with his partner at their residence. During the subsequent search, the police seized a 9 mm pistol loaded with 12 rounds, a .38 caliber revolver containing four intact rounds, a magazine holding 23 additional rounds, along with a scale and 13 packages of crack cocaine. This extensive cache of weapons and drugs highlights the serious nature of his criminal activities and past record.
The individual had multiple previous arrests for drug trafficking and was serving his sentence in an open regime, which allows certain inmates to remain out of prison under specific conditions. His latest charges for possession of firearms and drugs will likely result in significant legal repercussions, further complicating his already troubled background in criminal activity.
