Investigation launched in Czechia over arson attack on a supplier of Ukrainian drones and missiles

An arson attack occurred at LPP Holding, a military equipment manufacturer in Pardubice, Czechia, leading to the claim of responsibility by a group protesting the company's operations.

On Friday morning, a fire broke out in a warehouse owned by LPP Holding, a manufacturer of drones and military equipment, located in the industrial zone of Pardubice. The flames quickly spread to an adjacent administrative building, but firefighters managed to control the blaze within a few hours and fully extinguished it by the afternoon. Fortunately, there were no injuries reported, and the fire was primarily fueled by construction materials present in the warehouse.

Shortly after the fire's outbreak, a previously unknown group named 'Earthquake Faction' claimed responsibility for the arson attack. They released a video showing masked individuals breaking into the premises and pouring a flammable liquid inside, eventually leading to the outbreak of flames. The 'Earthquake Faction' stated that their act of arson was a protest against LPP Holding's production of weapons for Israel and their opposition to genocide in Gaza, Iran, and Lebanon.

LPP Holding has denied any accusations related to its production activities, asserting that it does not manufacture weapons intended for use in conflict zones. The incident highlights the tensions surrounding military exports in the region and raises questions about the safety and implications of such facilities amidst ongoing geopolitical conflicts, especially concerning the Middle East.
