A 12-year-old girl was taken to a health facility in Barra do Garças, located 511 km from Cuiabá, after exhibiting signs of intoxication early Saturday morning. Reports indicate that the girl displayed symptoms such as a strong smell of alcohol, slurred speech, tremors, and red eyes. Law enforcement took a 19-year-old male into custody on suspicion of supplying the alcohol to the minor.

The incident raised immediate concerns regarding underage drinking and the safety of minors. The suspect reportedly invited the girl to his home, where he provided her with vodka, ultimately leading to the girl's distress and the necessity for emergency medical services. The Fire Department was called to the scene to assist with the situation, and the girl was transported to the health unit for further care.

Medical professionals at the UPA confirmed her condition and she remained under observation as a precaution. The girl's mother, who was present at the hospital, stated that she was unaware of her daughter's activities, highlighting the potential risks and challenges surrounding adolescent drinking and the responsibility of adults in safeguarding minors from such situations.
