This incident marks the seventh pylon failure in less than two years, raising concerns about the reliability of the power infrastructure in the area. Local businesses have reported considerable financial losses due to repeated outages, highlighting the critical need for infrastructural stability.

City officials, including Acting Executive Director Bernhardt Lamour, have responded quickly to the incident. Teams are currently working to reroute power and commence repairs on the fallen pylon. Lamour confirmed that equipment is already being mobilized to the site, with repair work beginning immediately after the incident and continuing through the following days.

However, Lamour also cautioned residents that the repairs are expected to take approximately 21 days to complete.
