The World Youth Association of Croatia, in collaboration with the Center for Neurodevelopmental Integration of Reflexes, is organizing a round table on the topic of individuals with Down syndrome as equal members of society. Set to take place on March 21, 2026, in Zagreb, the event aims to raise awareness and discuss the various challenges faced by individuals with Down syndrome and their families. It will be held at the Croatian Paneuropean Union facility and is open to the public.

This round table is timed to coincide with World Down Syndrome Day and will feature discussions led by experts from fields such as biomedicine, social work, educational rehabilitation, and bioethics, along with parents of children with Down syndrome. The goal is to provide informed perspectives on the issues these individuals encounter, emphasizing their value as integral members of the community and the importance of their integration into society.

Despite the increasing recognition of the rights of individuals with disabilities, the need to discuss the integration of those with Down syndrome remains pressing. This event seeks to not only highlight the challenges but also explore possibilities for enhancing the contributions of people with Down syndrome to their communities.
