During meetings with the President of the Republic of Cyprus, Nicos Christodoulides, and the President of the House of Representatives, Annita Demetriou, Kaklamanis emphasized the importance of this visit as a "highly symbolic action."
Kaklamanis conveyed hope for a future where he could visit a united and free Cyprus, free from foreign military occupation.
