Physical searches for Vitória Figueiredo Barreto, who vanished in England on March 3, are set to conclude, as announced by Essex Police on Friday. Despite halting ground searches in coastal areas and the sea, authorities emphasize that their investigations will persist. The 25-year-old was last seen at a friend's house while she was involved in a research project at the University of Essex, located approximately 90 kilometers northeast of London.

The police stated that while physical searches are being concluded, various investigative lines will remain active to piece together a complete understanding of the circumstances surrounding the psychologist's disappearance. Superintendent Anna Granger, who heads the investigation, mentioned that the focus will include exploring financial transaction data and communication records to find leads.

The case has attracted significant media attention not only due to its tragic nature but also because it involves a Brazilian citizen, sparking concern in both Brazil and England.
