LNOBT – exclusive premiere: special guests caught attention
The LNOBT premiered Britten's opera ‘A Midsummer Night's Dream,’ which is performed for the first time in Lithuania, attended by notable figures from the culture and arts sectors.
The Lithuanian National Opera and Ballet Theatre (LNOBT) hosted a remarkable premiere of Benjamin Britten's opera ‘A Midsummer Night's Dream,’ which is based on the classic comedy by William Shakespeare. This production is historically significant as it marks the first-ever staging of this popular opera in Lithuania, having originally premiered in 1960. The event attracted prominent guests, including Kęstutis Vilkauskas, the Chairman of the Lithuanian Parliament's Culture Committee, as well as the General Director of LRT, Monika Garbačiauskaitė-Budrienė, and distinguished conductor Modestas Pitrėnas.
