The 'Operazione Nostalgia' concept started back in 2014 as a Facebook page and quickly grew to capture a larger audience, garnering attention from institutions and media alike. Over the years, the gatherings have seen increasing success across various stadiums in Italy, including Lecce, Parma, Cesena, Ferrara, Salerno, Novara, and Vicenza, involving over 200 players and attracting more than 100,000 spectators cumulatively, while the community has surpassed one million fans. In the past year, notable events such as the gatherings in Parma on June 7 and Reggio Calabria on September 6 have solidified the movement's popularity.
