Gallery: The story of the construction of the Türi radio station can be seen at the Broadcasting Museum
A new exhibition at the Broadcasting Museum in Türi showcases the history and significance of the Türi radio station's construction.
The Broadcasting Museum in Türi has opened a new exhibit titled "A Hundred Years, A Hundred Stories: The Türi Radio Station" as part of its "Broadcasting 100" initiative. This exhibit highlights the journey of constructing the Türi radio mast, which became a community effort in the late 1930s, marked by significant media interest at the time. Director Juhan Sihver notes that while there were not many notable events in the hundred-year history of broadcasting, the construction of the Türi radio station, spearheaded by Fred Olbrei, was certainly a major milestone that aimed to improve radio reception in the region.
