Barcelona SC will train in Quito during the break for Ecuador's friendly matches
Barcelona Sporting Club plans to utilize the break in the Ecuadorian league for national team friendlies to conduct a training camp in Quito.
Ecuador's national football team is scheduled to play two friendly matches on March 27 and March 31, first against Morocco in Spain and then against the Netherlands in Eindhoven, as part of their preparations for the World Cup. During this FIFA international window, the Ecuadorian league (Liga Ecuabet) will pause, providing a unique opportunity for clubs like Barcelona SC to regroup and prepare for the upcoming competitive season.
Under the guidance of coach César Farías, Barcelona SC has decided to approach this break like a pre-season, planning intensive training sessions aimed at improving the team's performance ahead of the Copa Libertadores group stage. They will return to their training facility in Puembo, located near Quito, where they previously conducted their pre-season training for 2026 earlier this year.
Barcelona SC will be in Puembo for training from March 25 to April 5, focusing on elevating their physical readiness and team chemistry. This strategic decision highlights the importance of preparation as the team gears up for crucial matches in the Copa Libertadores, showcasing their ambition and commitment to success on an international stage.
