VIDEO: Ukraine shot down a Russian Ka-52 helicopter with a drone
Ukrainian forces shot down a Russian Ka-52 helicopter using an FPV drone at the Pokrovsk front.
Ukrainian soldiers from the unmanned systems forces successfully downed a Russian Ka-52 helicopter using an FPV (First Person View) drone at the Pokrovsk front. The operation was documented and shared on social media by the leader of the unmanned systems forces, Robert Brovdi, who is also known by the nickname 'Madjar'. The video illustrates how the drone operator from the 59th separate assault brigade effectively targeted the helicopter near Nadijivka in the Donetsk region.
Following the drone strike, the Russian Ka-52 helicopter was forced to make an emergency landing. Reports from Ukrajinska Pravda indicate that the crew attempted to escape the aircraft after the attack. This incident highlights the increasing effectiveness and reliance on drone technology in modern warfare, particularly in the ongoing conflict between Ukraine and Russia.
Subsequently, soldiers from the 414th separate brigade, under the leadership of Madjar, deployed additional drones that successfully neutralized enemy soldiers attempting to flee from the downed helicopter. This tactic reflects a strategic use of drone warfare in disrupting enemy operations and showcases the evolving battlefield dynamics in the region.
