The domestic air route between Karup and Copenhagen is set to resume operations on April 20, as Alsie Express will offer three daily flights. This development is seen as significant for the business sector, institutions, and the residents of Midtjylland, according to Anders Tvergaard, the director of Midtjylland Karup Airport. The previous service on this route was suspended last summer when AIS Airlines ceased its flights.

The revival comes under the management of Heartland, which acquired the airport last year, with businessman Anders Holck Poulsen, the owner of Bestseller, at the helm. The introduction of this new route marks an important step towards enhancing connectivity within the region and improving accessibility for both residents and businesses. Alsie Express has been connecting Sønderborg with Copenhagen since 2013, indicating its commitment to providing reliable domestic flights.
