Zelensky: Ukraine's army positions have hardly changed in a year
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced that the positions of the Ukrainian armed forces have remained largely the same over the past year, despite increasing Russian losses.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that the positions of the Ukrainian armed forces have not significantly changed compared to the previous year, but there has been a significant increase in Russian casualties. This statement was made during an interview with blogger Max Klimenko, highlighting the ongoing challenges faced by Ukraine in the conflict against Russian aggression.
In a separate report, Oleksandr Sirski, the commander of Ukraine's Armed Forces, noted that since the end of January, Ukrainian soldiers have liberated 400 square kilometers of territory in the southern regions of Ukraine. As of March 3, Zelensky mentioned that the Defense Forces had reclaimed an additional 460 square kilometers as part of their counteroffensive operations since the beginning of the year, emphasizing the ongoing military efforts to reclaim occupied territories.
Zelensky further elaborated on March 17 that the Defense Forces had liberated more territory in the preceding month than the Russian occupiers had managed to capture. This information underscores Ukraine's resilience in the face of adversity and serves to reinforce the narrative of progress amidst a challenging military landscape, as the conflict continues to evolve with both sides engaging in fierce combat.
