GAME, the well-known UK computer games retailer, is set to close all of its last three high street branches in Dudley, Sutton, and Lancaster in April following its collapse into administration. The retailer, which has been a fixture in the gaming industry since its founding in 1990, has faced a turbulent history, notably entering administration for the first time in 2012, which resulted in the closure of hundreds of stores and significant job losses.

This latest decision marks a significant decline for the gaming retailer as it attempts to navigate financial difficulties, having previously closed numerous locations over the years. Although GAME is shutting down these physical locations, concessions will remain operational within other retailers owned by Frasers Group, including Sports Direct and Frasers department stores, as well as the company’s website.
