Two men arrested after violent assault of woman outside Darwin nightclub

Two men were arrested following a violent incident outside a nightclub in Darwin where a female security staff member was assaulted and left unconscious.

The incident occurred early in the morning when a 30-year-old male allegedly struck a female security staff member with a glass, rendering her unconscious. The altercation escalated as the man kicked her while she lay on the ground before brandishing what appeared to be an edged weapon and fleeing the scene.

According to the Northern Territory Police, the aggression did not stop there; another suspect, a 31-year-old man, was also involved in the incident, reportedly assaulting a male security staff member during the chaos. Both men managed to escape initially but were later apprehended by authorities who used CCTV footage to track their movements and locate them effectively.

The injured staff members were promptly taken to Royal Darwin Hospital for treatment. Thankfully, their injuries were not life-threatening.
