RBSE Result: Will girls surpass boys this time too?
The Rajasthan Board's 10th-grade results continue a trend where girls outshine boys in academic performance, with girls achieving higher pass percentages and leading in merit lists over the past seven years.
The ongoing examination results from the Rajasthan Board of Secondary Education (RBSE) highlight a notable trend of girls outperforming boys in the 10th-grade examinations. For the year 2025, the pass percentage for girls stands at 94.08%, while boys achieved 91.20%. This pattern has been consistent for the past seven years, where girls not only have achieved higher overall pass percentages but have also topped the merit lists. In 2023, there was a surprising outcome where girls from rural areas outperformed their urban counterparts, showcasing their capability and dedication to education.
Experts attribute this growing success of girls in Rajasthan to various initiatives and increasing societal awareness about female education, such as the 'Gargi Award' scheme. Approximately 480,000 female students participated in the 10th-grade exams this year, and there is a strong expectation that they will again excel when the results are announced. The anticipation surrounding the results this year is particularly noteworthy as it marks the first time in RBSE history that the 10th-grade results will be released before the 12th-grade results, and also the results for this class will be declared in March, indicating a significant shift in the board's examination schedule.
This year’s results reflect not just academic achievements but also the changing dynamics of educational success in Rajasthan, emphasizing that with the right support and recognition, girls can lead the way in academic excellence. The continuing rise in girls’ performance underscores the importance of nurturing and supporting female education in an evolving educational landscape.
