The Latvian company Floway has recently launched 13 innovative flower vending machines throughout Riga, with an initial investment of 300,000 euros. The idea started small, intending to install just one machine at Riga Airport to explore additional revenue streams. However, due to significant customer interest, the project expanded, leading to the establishment of a flower studio in Piņķi, where professional florists are now creating bouquets. The machines are equipped with features that allow remote monitoring and management through an app, enabling the company to adapt production based on real-time activity.

The vending machines, manufactured in Poland, are designed to preserve flowers using specialized water reservoirs to maintain freshness. This innovative approach enables Floway to shorten the supply chain cycle, ensuring that flowers reach customers in optimal condition. By managing inventory remotely and acquiring notifications for each purchase, the company can strategically increase or decrease production based on demand, improving efficiency.
