The Priest Warned the Faithful About Confession. 'This is Bad'

A priest in Poland has issued a warning to the faithful about the importance of confessing their sins before Easter, sharing advice on how to prepare for the sacrament of reconciliation.

As Easter approaches, many churches in Poland are expected to be filled with worshippers, particularly during the morning Resurrection Mass, where the priest announces the Resurrection of Jesus Christ. Those who carry heavy sins, also known as mortal sins, are urged to partake in the sacrament of confession before receiving the Eucharist. This essential sacrament serves the purpose of cleansing one’s conscience and preparing individuals for receiving communion.

In a bid to assist the faithful, Father Jarosław Bordiuk, a parish priest known for his YouTube presence, released a video offering tips and tricks on how to effectively approach confession. He emphasized that many individuals do not regularly partake in this sacrament, which is crucial for spiritual preparation, especially as they approach the significant holy days of Easter. The priest strongly advises against delaying confession, as he believes everyone should address their spiritual state in a timely manner.

Father Bordiuk, who serves at the St. Mark the Evangelist parish in Warsaw, underscores the necessity of being proactive in seeking reconciliation with God. He argues that procrastination in confessions leads to further spiritual distress and an indecisive faith life. His accessible guidance aims to encourage more frequent participation in the sacrament, fostering a deeper connection with the faith during this holy season.
