Indicted for sharing intimate content of ex on adult site would not have accepted new relationship, police say

A 23-year-old man has been indicted for sharing intimate photos and videos of his ex-girlfriend online out of revenge for her new relationship, according to police.

The police investigation into a case of intimate image dissemination began in October 2025 after the victim reported to the authorities about her ex-boyfriend's actions. According to Delegate Heliomar dos Santos Silva, the suspect's behavior stemmed from vengeful motives, as he was unable to accept that his former girlfriend had moved on to a new relationship. The investigation, carried out by the 66th Police Department in Miranorte, confirmed that the 23-year-old man was responsible for posting photos and videos of the victim on social media and an adult website, which he had obtained during their relationship.

The couple had been together for approximately three years, during which the victim shared various intimate images with the suspect through WhatsApp. After gathering sufficient evidence over several months, the police were able to link the suspect to the crime conclusively. However, as the suspect's name has not been released, G1 was unable to reach out for comment from his legal defense regarding the allegations.

This case highlights ongoing issues related to the unauthorized sharing of intimate images, often referred to as 'revenge porn,' and the emotional and legal repercussions faced by victims. The investigation underscores the importance of protecting individuals from such acts, advocating for stronger legal measures against perpetrators, and increasing awareness about consent in digital communications.
